The first mammogram unit donated by Maina Foundation was installed at Lions Service Center, Koparkhairane, Navi Mumbai on Saturday, March 21, 2009. It was a very well attended ceremonious function with the District Governor of Lions club Mr. Rajeshkumar Mehrra present to inaugurate the unit. The key note speaker Dr. Shishir Shetty emphasized the critical need of early detection for a successful treatment for breast cancer.
The unit will provide this opportunity to thousands of women in the local community who are in need of healthcare assistance.
